alernative treatment instead of partial prostate gland removal for bladder not emptying properly please?

husband was told yesterday that his bladder isnt emptying properly so has been told he needs a partial prostate gland removal.yet his gland isnt that enlarged.he was also told he has back pressure on his kidneys.he doesnt want to have the op so has anyone been in this situation and found alternative treatment for this problem? any advice appreciated. one worried husband…..sue
Go see another urologist! I had the same problem and just take a daily pill which works wonders. I would not even tell the new urologist he has seen anyone else, just so he has a completely impartial opinion. Partial prostate removal is usually one of the last and most drastic measures.
