Which is the best treatment for enlarged prostate?

<p>My husband has had drug treatments, which haven’t made much difference. His options now are laser surgery or thermal microwave treatment. Which has the least side effects and best outcome?

I had an enlarged prostate most of my life and I never did anything about it until I contracted cancer.
But I would think that microwave treatment would be less invasive and thus have less side effects. But I would discuss this with the doctor. My doctor told me of all the side effects and after effects before I had surgery and I believe the doctor is the best person to ask about this problem. I also took the time to check out the different outcome on Google.
