Lapel Pins Are Appreciated By My Medical Staff

As the nursing supervisor at a medical clinic, I always used to have a hard time getting people show up to our monthly staff meetings. I didn’t want to have to resort to making the meetings mandatory, and I decided to come up with an incentive for people to attend. I bought some pins from a Medical lapel pin company, and I gave one to each staff member who attended the meeting. At the next meeting, even more people attended, and now it has become a contest to see who can accumulate the most pins. I’m glad that people are more enthusiastic about the meetings!

It did not help me to know that 50 per cent of the men over 60 have Benigh Prostatic Hyperplasia. Nor did it help me to know that the odds went up to 90 per cent of the men over 70 having it. I would much rather he had told me that I had beat the odds and was operating with the minority and would not need BPH Treatment. The treatment was not that bad and he had hoped that I would be able to avoid surgery. If he thought he hoped I could avoid it how did he think I felt about it?

The main things my doctor wanted me to do involved a change in my diet. After he had gone though the continuum of things that could be included in an Enlarged Prostate Treatment I was more than willing to do the little things. I really would not miss that extra cup of coffee in the morning. I was also willing to drink my water before and during my evening meal rather than before I went to bed. My wife had been after me for years to eat more fruit so doing that would make her happy as well and making it easier for me to go to the bathroom.

I was almost 70 before my doctor informed me that my PSA levels were elevated. He did not seem worried but I wanted more of an explanation of what that meant. He told me that I was developing an enlarged prostate and that I probably would not need BPH Treatment. For the most part the men that need it are the ones that experience the problem about twenty years before I did. He explained that there was medicine available if it came to that. He also explained to me that in severe cases there was a surgical options and that strides had been made to improve the efficiency of those procedures.

has anyone out there had a T.U.R.P or green light laser if so what was the result was it successful would you recommend it .(if you need to ask what it is don`t bother to answer as its a serious question)

Adenoma is a benign neoplastic process which results in a localised tumour.

BPH occurs throughout the prostate and results in a generalised growth.

My neutered 8 year old mix breed dog has a enlarged prostate. What can I do?

He also has some crystals in his urine. He went on anti-biotics and ant-infamatory med today. How can I help him. I live in Panama and the vet said no surgery is available. Again he is neutered. The vet said his prostate should be the size of a grape and it is the size of a plum. He weighs 15 lbs.

See if the meds help. If not you may have to end his suffering for him, humanly.

Prostatic adenoma is cancer, plain and simple. Benign hyperplasia is simply enlargement of the prostate gland. The latter occurs to most men, if they live long enough. It becomes an issue only if it enlarges to the point that urination becomes difficult.
